Charitable Giving

Each year the Benefice selects five charities to benefit from special collection days throughout the year.  This is in addition to the regular collections for the parishes.

Below are details of the current charities and where to find information on regular giving to the Benefice.

He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done. Proverbs 19:17

Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.  Psalm 82:3

If you would like to give to your church on a regular basis please contact the Benefice Office for information about committing to a regular donation through weekly envelopes or by standing order and how the church might benefit from a signed Gift Aid declaration.

the children's society

A good world needs happy children.  Happy children need a good childhood.  The Children's Society recognises that some children need help to achieve this.  So the Children's Society heals children's hurt, eases their pain, restores children's self-respect.  When children are alone, they listen and when they're abandoned, they care.  The Society never gives up, even when children are facing the harshest challenges.  Collections in December and June.
