BUNTING
DO YOU have a ragbag of cotton pieces? How about cutting pieces into triangles to create bunting for St Mary's Annual Church Fete which is being held on 2nd July? Many yards are needed! A template, to ensure matching sizes, is available at the back of church. Please pass completed lengths or triangles on to Ann or Jill.

Collection day: Saturday 4th June from 10.00am to 12 noon
In the car park of Swallowfield Medical Practice
Fete: Saturday 11th June 2.00pm at the Mead House, Church Road
Ride on the miniature railway; savour our tasty refreshments; enjoy the amazing displays and entertainment, including Punch and Judy, children's magic show, face-painting, sideshows, competitions.
Try your luck in the raffle and find bargains in our well-stocked stalls including books, bric-a-brac, gifts, toys, health & beauty, plants and tombola.
ST MARY'S CHURCH FETE - Saturday 2nd July, 12 noon - 3.30pm
Collection day: Saturday 11th June from 10.00am to 12 noon
In St Mary's Church.
Fete: Saturday 2nd July on Shinfield School Green
Opened by the Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire and featuring:
St Mary's famous cake stall; fairground; soft toy and bottle tombolas, books, raffle, BBQ and refreshments.
Entertainment including Morris Dancing by Shinfield Shambles and other demonstrations throughout the afternoon.
SUPPORTED CHARITIES
ST MARY'S PCC is reviewing the charities that the church supports. Currently these are A Rocha, BRF, the Churches in Reading Drop in Centre and Mityana. If members of the congregation would like to suggest other charities and be prepared to be the promoter, please contact Ann Young.

GAZEBO FOR HIRE
THE FETE COMMITTEE at St Mary's has purchased a waterproof 3m x 3m easy-erect gazebo (15 minutes to erect for 2 people – 10 minutes with 4). It will be available for loan to members of the congregation.
A donation to church funds would be appreciated. Contact Jill Grindal on 988 2158.
