Songs of Praise at St Michael’s

COME AND sing all your favourite hymns at our 'Songs of Praise' service which usually takes place on the first Sunday of each month.

Next Songs of Praise is Sunday, 5th June

INTERCESSIONS

• If you would like anyone included in the intercessions, please give their names to Béatrice or write them in the Intercessions book at the back of the church at Spencers Wood or Beech Hill.

Please pray for:

▪	Those who are ill or in need in our congregations.

Grant us, Lord God, a vision of our land as your love would make it:

- a land where the weak are protected, and none go hungry or poor;

- a land where different races and cultures live in tolerance and mutual respect;

- a land where peace is built with justice, and justice is guided by love.

And give us the inspiration and courage to build it, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

BEECH HILL FELLOWSHIP

THIS GROUP meets every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.30pm for Friendship, Bible study, prayer, discussion, coffee & biscuits, at Wagtails, Church Lane, Beech Hill. For more information, contact Penelope Carter on 988 3714.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR

The Children’s Choir at St Mary's, Beech Hill is open to all children aged 5 and over. Children from Spencers Wood and Swallowfield are welcome to join. Practices are held on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 7.15pm in the church. Please contact Béatrice if you have a child who would like to take part.

TINY TOTS

Tiny Tots meets every week at St Michael & All Angels, Spencers Wood on Tuesdays from 2.00 to 3.00pm.

Tiny Tots includes a short, informal service with a Bible story or talk using visual aids, songs and short prayers, a simple craft activity, refreshments for all and time for a chat.

Services at Beech Hill

AT 5PM on the second Sunday of each month, we have a gentle, Taizé-style service with a guest harpist.

ON THIRD Sundays of each month at 10.30am, our Family Communion at St Mary’s, Beech Hill, is a relaxed service which combines traditional hymns played on our beautiful new organ, and modern worship led on the guitar by Will Anstice. Our junior choir sing during the communion and the children join ByteSize computer club during the first part of the service.

EVENING PRAYERS

EVENING PRAYERS at St Michael’s takes place every week from Monday to Thursday at 6.00pm. Please come and join us in prayer.

HOME GROUP

A HOME group meets every Wednesday at 8pm, at 6 Magill Close. All welcome.

Choir members needed

Age 8 to 80+.

Ability to read music not essential; ability to enjoy making music and singing - absolutely essential!

Please contact Yvonne Gripton on 988 2706 or come along to a practice on any Friday at 7.00pm in St Michael's Church, Spencers Wood.

A NEW supported volunteering group for over 55s is held at St Michael's church on Friday mornings.
