For children

Parish Praise, Parish Worship, People's Praise, Morning Worship & Family Worship
These services are more informal and include a variety of traditional and modern hymns and songs of praise, as well as prayers, readings from the Bible and usually a sermon or talk. Morning Worship at Shinfield is in the Celtic style.
Connections is for young people and is held once a month at Swallowfield on third Sunday afternoons starting with tea from 4.30pm. The service aims to explore our spiritual connections with people, organisation, our inner selves and with God in new ways. Together with traditional methods such as singing, we will look at different ways to pray and think about God, using our imaginations, creativity and even taste.
The group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in St Mary's church at 8pm. Contemplation, means a state of quiet, intentionally unfocused awareness in which we try to lay aside our own thoughts and desires in order to open ourselves more fully to God.

Songs of Praise
A short morning service with a focus on hymns and modern songs combined with practical Christian teaching.
The Healing Service is when we particularly pray for individual people and for the world. We welcome people who are suffering in some way - physically, mentally or spiritually - and the service includes the Laying on of Hands. The service is fairly informal and you do not have to tell anyone about your reason for attending unless you want to do so. Whilst some people find the Laying on of Hands is helpful, others do not and participation is entirely optional.

Morning Prayer usually uses a traditional service and language from the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). The service, which is also called 'Matins', consists of a formal setting of prayers, confession, absolution, psalms, hymns, the Apostle's Creed and a reading from each of the Old and New Testaments.
Evensong or Evening Prayer has a similar format to Morning Prayer and is also from the BCP. This service, literally "night songs", consists of prayer, readings from the Bible, reflection, a sermon, and the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis are sung.
