Charities supported in the Benefice V2
Local charities
The Link Visiting Scheme (Wokingham)
The Link is a registered charity based on Christian principles whose aim is to combat social isolation among older people. This is achieved through regular home visits and a variety of additional events and activities which enable ‘Link Friends’ to engage with a wider circle of support and to gain new skills.
Thrive is the leading charity in the UK using gardening to change the lives of disabled people. Thrive helps people who want to garden at home, on an allotment, in a community setting or who may to access our Thrive's structured horticultural therapy programmes, currently available at Beech Hill (Reading), Battersea (London), Kings Heath (Birmingham) and Saltwell Park (Gateshead).
National charities
The Children's Society
The Children's Society is a national charity that runs local projects, helping children and young people when they are at their most vulnerable, and have nowhere left to turn.
International charities
WaterAid
Diarrhoea caused by dirty water and bad sanitation is the second biggest child killer worldwide. A lack of clean water and toilets keeps girls out of school, stops women from working, and traps people in poverty. WaterAid tackles the crisis from all angles, working with local partners to deliver clean water and toilets and promote good hygiene, and campaign to make change happen for everyone everywhere.
ADT Healthcare is a free helpline for people
affected by drug and alcohol addiction. The service is particularly helpful
for family members affected by a loved one's addiction.

The Diocese of Oxford
Loddon Reach Benefice and its churches are all part of the Diocese of Oxford. Click here for their website which includes helpful information on where to find churches, daily prayers, news, events and vacancies. Follow this link for daily prayer for the people, churches and parishes in the diocese.
The Common Worship Lectionary
This website page lists the Common Worship lectionary readings for principal services and festivals (including all services for Holy Week). A calendar with the movable days of the church's year is included up to 2030. A coloured band shows the Litugical colour for the day. Select your preferred Bible version, but note that Psalms in all cases are from the Common Worship Psalter and (numbered) Canticles are from Celebrating Common Prayer (CCP), both as published at the OREMUS website.

With the Bible Society
The Bible Society's vision is a world where everyone has access to the Bible and can recognise its value for them, their families and communities. Wherever you are on your journey with the Bible, their range of resources and study tools will help bring it to life in your home, church or community.
Mothers' Union
Mothers' Union is an international Christian membership charity that aims to demonstrate the Christian faith in action through the transformation of communities worldwide.
