Bell Ringing in Loddon Reach

We are very fortunate to have two bell towers in our Benefice - St Mary's Church, Shinfield and All Saints Church, Swallowfield.

Our bells have rung out in celebration for centuries. Our oldest bells are dated 1660, the year of the Restoration of the Monarchy. Our dedicated team of ringers continue this tradition. We ring at each bell tower two Sundays a month, and also to mark special occasions such as weddings and the King's Coronation.

We are part of the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers, and a warm welcome awaits anyone who is interested in joining us.

Bell ringing is an exhilarating activity that's a mix between making music and playing a team sport, preserving a part of our country's heritage.

We also welcome visiting bands - please do get in touch with us to arrange a time and date.
